What documents are required for my vehicle?
You must provide a valid registration, a valid driver’s license w/photo, and proof of valid insurance.

How old must the driver be?
The driver must be at least 18 years of age.

How clean does my vehicle need to be?
Vehicles that are excessively dirty, muddy or have caked-on mud on vehicle or tires shall not be permitted on board, and may not be cleaned at the terminal.

When do I need to check in?

The O‘ahu terminal opens at 4:30 AM and close at 6:00 AM.
The Maui terminal opens at 9:00 AM and close at 10:30 AM.

If you're traveling with a vehicle, we recommend you arrive at the port at least 90 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. For walk-on passengers, we recommend you arrive at least 60 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.

Entrance to the terminal will promptly close 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. You will be denied boarding if you arrive after the entrances are closed.

Will my car get screened?
All vehicles are subject to security, and agricultural screenings and the driver of the vehicle may be required to open any or all compartments.

Can I bring a trailer?
Yes, trailers are permitted if attached to a self-propelled towing Vehicle. It must stay attached to the towing vehicle at all times.

How do I need to secure my motorcycle, scooter, moped or bicycle?

All motorcycles, mopeds, and scooters must be fully secured on the car deck using appropriate tie-downs. It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure this is completed properly. Tie down equipment may be provided on request. However, we do not guarantee it will be suitable for every vehicle and reserves the right to deny service if adequate tie down cannot be achieved. Hawaii Superferry shall not be responsible if the tie down does not work and the motorcycle, moped, or scooter is damaged.

This does not apply if the moped/scooter is loaded on a truck or trailer.
